Drywall Installation
Douglas Taping has installed sheetrock across New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania since 1996, from single-room additions to full commercial build-outs.

On a recent commercial job, that meant roughly 6,800 square feet of 5/8-inch drywall with walls up to 14 feet high: café and office areas, storage and package rooms, demising walls, mezzanine walls, mailbox niches, and about 60 ceiling patches. Jobs at that scale require coordinating around fire-rated walls, electrical panels, framing, and ceiling grids so inspections pass the first time.
On residential jobs it's the same standard at a smaller scale: soundproof sheetrock for home theaters, framing coordination on additions, and clean cuts around outlets and fixtures so the taping crew isn't fighting bad prep later.
General contractors like Tocchini Construction and AZS Construction come back because we hit the schedule we agree to. If we say Thursday, the crew shows up Thursday.
FAQ
Questions About Drywall Installation
Do you install soundproof drywall?
Yes. We've installed soundproof sheetrock for home theater and smart-home projects, most recently working alongside Total Home Interiors on a system that required the wall assembly to stay intact.
Can you handle a large commercial installation on a tight deadline?
That's most of what we do for general contractors. A recent job ran 6,800 sq ft of 5/8" drywall across multiple room types with 60+ ceiling patches, coordinated around electrical and fire-rated wall inspections.
Is taping and finishing included when you install drywall?
Yes. Taping and finishing is our specialty since 1996, every installation includes full taping, joint compound, and sanding to the finish level the project needs.
