6,800 Sq Ft of Commercial Drywall, Zero Missed Inspections: Inside a Job for Tocchini Construction
On a recent build for Tocchini Construction, Douglas Taping installed and finished roughly 6,800 square feet of 5/8-inch drywall across café, office, storage, and mezzanine spaces with 14-foot walls and about 60 ceiling patches, coordinating around fire-rated walls and electrical panels so every inspection passed the first time.

Tocchini Construction needed drywall installed and finished across a mixed-use commercial build: café and office areas, storage and package rooms, demising walls, mezzanine walls, and mailbox niches. Walls ran up to 14 feet, and the scope included about 60 ceiling patches.
On a job that size, the risk isn't the drywall itself, it's everything drywall has to work around: fire-rated wall assemblies, electrical panel locations, and ceiling grids that all need to be correct before an inspector shows up. A missed detail holds up every trade scheduled behind it.
The solution
We scoped the fire-rated wall requirements and electrical rough-in locations before hanging a single sheet, then sequenced the install so ceiling grid trades weren't waiting on us. Roughly 6,800 square feet of 5/8" drywall went up, followed by full taping and finishing to the level each space needed.
The result
The job passed inspection on schedule, with no rework tied to fire-rated wall or electrical coordination. It's the same reason Tocchini Construction, AZS Construction, LMR Service LLC, and Lewisbuit LLC keep bringing us back: we tell a GC when we'll be done, and we're done then.
